President BOLA TINUBU has sworn in ESTHER WALSON-JACK as the new Head of Civil Service (HoS) of the Federation.
WALSON-JACK took the oath of office at the Council Chamber of the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, just before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting.
After the swearing-in, WALSON-JACK promised to build on existing reforms and bring innovations and creativity to the service.
She succeeds Dr FOLASHADE YEMI-ESAN, who served as the HoS from March 4, 2020, until August 12, 2024, a day before she attained the retirement age of 60.
Until her latest appointment, WALSON-JACK served as the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education since January 2024, following the retirement of the substantive Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, DAVID ANDREW ADEJO.
