Ogun Assembly Minority Leader Advocates for Transparent Selection in Odogbolu LG Chair Race

Hon. Lukman Adeleye, the Minority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly, has stressed the need for transparency in selecting the next Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government. At a recent meeting led by Hon. Robert Adenaike, known as Oloolu, candidates vying for the chairmanship position presented their visions for the development of the local government.

Hon. Adeleye called on ward leaders to foster an environment of openness and fairness in their selections to ensure the party nominates the strongest candidate. He encouraged the aspirants to view the contest as a chance to contribute positively to the party's success rather than a mere competition.

The contenders for the Executive Chairman role include Alh. Hon. Sikiru Okeowo, Alhaji Olaposi Rabiu, Barr. Gbenga Adeiye, Alhaji Abdul-Rasaq Arowosegbe (AROCOOL), Mr. Bayo Olakunle Odunuga, Hon. Chief Yusuf Olatunji Olusanya, and Mrs. Adenuga Enitan.

The meeting, which also saw attendance from prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) such as Chief M. O. Taiwo, Otunba Tola Odulaja, Otunba Segun Odusole, and Prince Agbolade Oduyebo, concluded with a consensus on the need to strengthen the party’s position and select a formidable candidate. Further updates on the selection process will be provided as the party moves forward with preparations for the upcoming local government elections
