The Katsina State Government has imposed a 24hrs curfew and banned gatherings as well as all types of protests in the 34 local government areas.

Secretary to the Government of the State, ABDULLAH GARBA FASKARI, made this known in a statement. 

ABDULLAH said the decision followed the outcome of an emergency security meeting of the State’s Executive Council

ABDULLAH said there will be a twenty 24hrs curfew in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area, and 7:00pm to 7:00am curfew throughout the remaining 33 Local Government Areas of the State.

He added that the Government found it necessary to impose these measures to safeguard people’s lives and properties in the State after miscreants hijacked yesterday’s protest and vandalized public and private properties.
