The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has suspended its earlier announced increase in navigational charges.
This was made known through a statement by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection of NAMA, ABDULLAHI MUSA.
The NAMA spokesman noted that the backtrack by the agency was in response to the directive of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, FESTUS KEYAMO.
According to him, the decision follows the Minister’s recognition of the current economic challenges faced by Nigerians.
MUSA further noted that the minister emphasized the need for further consultation before implementing any changes, highlighting the importance of being sensitive to the plight of Nigerians amidst these economic challenges.
