The Senate has scheduled an emergency session for Wednesday 31 JULY 2024, amidst the planned nationwide protests. 

This was made known in a circular signed by the Clerk, CHINEDU AKUBUEZE.

According to the internal memorandum the President of the Senate, GODSWILL AKPABIO, directed an emergency plenary session.

AKPABIO said that all senators should be in attendance, as issues of national importance will be discussed during the plenary session.
