The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, EMMANUEL IWUANYANWU, has died.

This was made known in a statement made available by his son JIDE IWUANYANWU. 

IWUANYANWU died yesterday after a brief illness.

Before his death he was the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide and President of Owerri Peoples Assembly.

Burial details is expected to be would be announced by the family in due course
