Some rights activists under the auspices of the ‘De Renaissance Patriots Foundation’, including OMOYELE SOWORE and AISHA YESUFU, have faulted the use of the Oro festival to stop the planned national protest slated for August 1.
The rights activists described the move as a huge joke, insisting that the protest would go on as planned.
Reacting to the development, OMOYELE SOWORE said Government should separate traditions from this impending crisis as Oro festival in Lagos is now allegedly scheduled for the first two weeks of August. The same period as the planned protests by the youths
Also, AISHA YESUFU JIBRILLA reacted that the prestigious Oro Festival is now a political tool.
