The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the nation’s competitiveness in raw materials and product development.

This commitment was underscored at the National Consultative Committee on Competitiveness conference, which convened stakeholders from various sectors to deliberate on the implementation of Nigeria’s national strategy for competitiveness in raw materials and product development. 

The Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, UCHE GEOFFREY NNAJI who delivered the keynote address, highlighted the critical importance of transforming Nigeria’s abundant raw materials into high-quality products. 

He also underscored that achieving food security and boosting economic growth are possible through the application of biotechnology and other innovative technologies.

NNAJI therefore called on all stakeholders to support the national strategy, ensuring that Nigeria can produce value-added products that meet international standards.
