The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has urged President BOLA TINUBU to take immediate and decisive action to address the dangerous state of the country’s economy.
The apex student body also asked the President to address the exorbitant fuel prices that have wreaked havoc on the lives of citizens.
This is contained in a statement by the Senate President of NANS, National Headquarters, OKUNOMO ADEWUMI.
According to the statement, the current economic downturn has had a destructive impact on the nation and Nigerians, perpetuating poverty, hunger, and hardship.
NANS further warned that should this situation persist, it may advance widespread protests and social unrest, hence destabilising the nation.
