Both Democratic and Republican lawmakers have called on Secret Service Director, KIMBERLY CHEATLE to step down in the wake of the assassination attempt of DONALD TRUMP.
The demand came during and after a tense House Oversight Committee hearing that questioned CHEATLE about her agency's security preparations ahead of a rally in Pennsylvania that led to the attempt on TRUMP's life.
She admitted to lawmakers the attempted assassination of Donald TRUMP was the most significant operational failure at the Secret Service in decades.
The Secret Service director also said she apologized to TRUMP in a phone call after the assassination attempt.
