The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has pegged 140 as the minimum benchmark score for admission into universities.
The board also fixed 100 as the minimum benchmark score for admission into polytechnics and colleges of education.
JAMB Registrar, Professor ISHAQ OLOYEDE who announced this in Abuja at the 2024 Policy meeting of JAMB, however, cautioned that the benchmark score is not the cut-off mark for admissions for all universities.
He explained that individual institutions were at liberty to raise their minimum benchmark approved at the policy meeting but could not go below what was approved for various institutions.
