The Ogun State House of Assembly will begin its mid-year budget performance appraisal on Monday, July 22, 2024. This review will evaluate the compliance of various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) with the 2024 Appropriation Law.
According to a statement from the Clerk of the Assembly, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, the appraisal is part of the Assembly’s oversight responsibilities to ensure accountability and transparency in the management of government resources, as outlined in Sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended).
The assessment will start at 10:00 AM daily and will run until Tuesday, July 30, 2024. All MDAs are required to provide relevant documents and information to support the success of the review process.
