Governor BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU has approved the appointment of six persons to serve in the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission ahead of the next councils’ polls.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, GBENGA OMOTOSO, announced this.

The appointees are Justice BOLA OKIKIOLU IGHILE (retired), as Chairman, SAMSON AJIBADE, OLUWO DUROJAIYE, Dr METILELU OLUSOLA, AILERU ABEEB DAPO and OLADELE ADEKANYE as members.

OMOTOSO said details of the swearing-in ceremony will be announced in due course.
