Nigeria’s House of Representatives has pledged to support Team Nigeria financially with the sum of 100 million naira for the athletes’ campaign at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in France, scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11.

The financial support was announced during the plenary session with the Minister of Sports Development, JOHN ENOH, who led athletes, the Nigeria Olympics Committee, and the Paralympics Committee of Nigeria to the House of Representatives in Abuja.

The Deputy Speaker, BENJAMIN KALU, made the announcement while delivering a speech on behalf of the Speaker, TAJUDEEN ABBAS.

KALU said that the money would be collectively drawn from the salaries of the members.
