Nigeria’s Team for the 2024 Olympic Games in France Receives N100 Million Donation
The House of Representatives has allocated N100 million to support Nigeria’s team for the 2024 Olympic Games in France.
This announcement was made today in Abuja by the Deputy Speaker, Ben Kalu, during a plenary session where the House welcomed the Minister of Sport, John Enoh, and the Olympic team.
Deputy Speaker Kalu revealed that the funds will be sourced from the salaries of the House members. “The money is coming from our salaries,” Mr. Kalu stated.
In addition, Aminu Balele, the Chairman of the House Committee on Army and a member of the APC from Katsina, contributed N3 million to the team, with the donation presented during the same plenary session.
