The Ogun State Football Association is set to establish a new committee dedicated to overseeing youth football activities in the Gateway State. This initiative aligns with a directive from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), which requires all state football associations to prioritize the development of youth football programs.
According to the Association's Media Office, led by Mr. Bayo Adegboyega, the formation of this committee is in response to the NFF's mandate to focus on youth development.
Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, an Executive Board Member of the NFF and Chairman of the Ogun State Football Association, will serve as the Chairman of the new committee. Coach Femi Bamgboye will be the Vice Chairman.
The committee will also include Dr. Bayo Oluwatoki, Coach Victor Agbagu, Mr. Omotunde Adamson, and Mr. Oseni Oluwasegun as members. Additional members are Prince Adeniyi Adeyinka, Alhaji Hammed Adebayo, Dauda Ibrahim, Mr. Michael Onikute, Mrs. Agbabiaka Sekinat, Engr. Ayodeji Sodrudeen, Ibrahim Nasiru, and Mrs. Olanike Titilayo Lawal.
Mr. Adeleke John has been appointed as the committee’s Secretary, and Mr. Ogunsiji Michael, Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), will serve as the Media Officer.
