The Lagos State Governor, BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU has inaugurated the re-introduction of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise campaign in Lagos State.
Governor SANWO-OLU called for the cooperation of all residents and stakeholders in making the exercise a success, following what he described as “appalling state” of uncleanliness observed in communities across the state.
He urged Lagosians to also make continuous cleaning of their homes, surrounding and street drainages a priority onward.
He noted that officers of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) would be deployed to collect all waste gathered in all areas for proper disposal.
Governor SANWO-OLU also said about 200,000 waste bins have been procured for refuse management and will be distributed to communities soon.
