The Lagos State government has revealed that only 1.06 million residents have registered for its Ilera Eko health insurance scheme since 2021.

The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health Management Agency, Dr EMMANUELLA ZAMBA, disclosed this at a joint press briefing.

Dr ZAMBA also announced that the agency has foot soldiers known as enrolment officers who visit the nooks and crannies of the state to enroll residents.
