The Government has urged residents in the state to refrain from erecting buildings without obtaining the necessary permits.

The General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency, GBOLAHAN OKI, gave the warning while reacting to a building with an illegal attachment that collapsed yesterday morning in Mushin. 

OKI also warned against removing government seals on defective buildings, stating that such actions are illegal and can put lives at risk.

He further warned developers and property owners against illegal constructions and conversions, especially attachments to existing buildings without approval and strict supervision by the agency.
