The Federal Government has announced plans to inaugurate the next phase of Lagos- Calabar Coastal highway from Cross River to Akwa Ibom.

The Minister of Works, DAVID UMAHI, disclosed this at the stakeholder’s engagement meeting held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

UMAHI warned that any contractor that is unserious with any Federal Government Road project will have his contract terminated and awarded to other contractors.

He also gave the contractors marching orders to mobilise to the site, saying President BOLA TINUBU had released sufficient funds for the projects.

Also speaking at the event, the President of the Senate, GODSWILL AKPABIO called on the Akwa Ibom State Governor, UMO ENO, to give maximum support to the Federal Government.
