The Lagos State Government has commenced a sensitization campaign to promote the payment of Land Use Charge in the state.
The Commissioner for Finance, ABAYOMI OLUYOMI, at the flag-off of the campaign, urged property owners to pay their Land Use Charge to support the government’s development initiatives.
OLUYOMI noted that the Land Use Charge taxes were a vital source of revenue for providing socio-economic infrastructure and amenities.
The commissioner also said a 15 per cent discount had been attached as incentive to encourage payers.
The campaign began on Lagos Island, Victoria Island, and at Eti-Osa Local Government/Local Council Development Areas.
