Shooting Stars Miss Out On Continental Ticket as Doma, Sporting Joins Gombe, Heartland In Relegation.
Shooting Stars' victory over Sporting Lagos counted for a little as they missed the opportunity to return to the continent after a long period.
The final match day of the 2023/2024 of the Nigeria Premier Football League was held on Sunday and it confirmed the relegation of Doma United and Sporting Lagos.

In Ikenne, Remo Stars defeated visiting Katsina 2-1. Super Eagles defender ISMAIL SADIQ opened the scoring in the 20th minute before DAYO OJO made it 2 -0 in the 30th minute while MICHAEL IBE reduced the deficit for the away side.
Two second-half goals from CHIJIOKE MBAOMA and ALADE BALOGUN ensured that Enyimba secured a 2-0 win over Plateau United.
Bayelsa United stunned host Bendel Insurance 0-2 at the SAMUEL OGBEMUDIA Stadium in Benin.
EKERISON OKORIE scored the opening goal in the 4th minute before TEKENA GARANDO added the second goal in the 31st minute.
Kwara United walloped Heartland 4-0 with goals from WASIU ALALADE 5’, EMMANUEL OGBOLE 24’, MOHAMMED ALAO 64’, and GODWIN OSHAGBEMI 90’.
In Kaduna, Niger Tornadoes defeated Sunshine Stars 2-1, BASHIR USMAN scored, the opening goal for the host in the 35th minute and CLINTON JEPHTA added the second goal 66th minute while LUCKY NWAFOR scored Sunshine Stars’ one goal in the 76th minute.
