The Oyo State Chapter of the Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria, has directed all its members to commence a seven-day warning strike today to press further the demands of the union.
This was disclosed in a notification letter sent to the members across all health institutions, including ministries, departments and local government areas by the union President, JOHN FABUNMI.
FABUNMI said the strike action is necessary to press further the demands of the union, revealing that the union has reminded the State Government of its grievances, but nothing has been done concerning their demands.
The union has however directed all its members to commence a seven-day warning strike starting from today to further press for the attention of the government to attend to their demands.
