The management of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) has assured the family of late Pa MICHAEL TAIWO, designer of Nigeria’s national flag of getting a befitting burial.

NICO Executive Secretary, BIODUN AJIBOYE, made this known in a statement signed by his media aide, CALEB NOR.

According to the statement, the Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, HANNATU MUSAWA is deeply concerned about this situation and has directed NICO to wade into it immediately.

The statement added that the decision was informed by the need to uphold age-long respect for the dead as well as honour to a past hero who has contributed significantly to the making of Nigeria.
