India's Prime Minister, NARENDRA MODI was sworn in for a third consecutive term.

At the ceremony, MODI vowed to "bear true allegiance to the constitution of India" during his inauguration speech.

South Asian leaders from neighbouring Bangladesh, the Maldives and Sri Lanka attended the ceremony.
