the Lagos State Government has reassured stakeholders in the tourism sector that preparations to unify tax payments have been finalised in order to prevent multiple taxations.

The Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, TOKE BENSON-AWOYINKA, stated that the plans would help the state government lessen the tax load on company owners.

The commissioner noted that the hospitality sector played a vital role in the economic development of the state.

She added that the state government is committed to creating an enabling environment for the hospitality sector to thrive while urging for support to make the industry data-driven with the aid of technology and new innovation.
