The Lagos State Government says the current efforts at enforcing the state’s environmental laws are yielding favourable results.
The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, TOKUNBO WAHAB, stated this at a recently held Justice Reform Summit 2024 organised by the state Ministry of Justice.
In renewed efforts to avert flooding, officials of the ministry have, in recent times, intensified the clampdown on buildings erected on drainage channels and also rid public places of shanties, harbouring criminals and miscreants.
In a post on X, WAHAB stressed the importance of upholding the law and ensuring compliance without fear or favour.
