The Lagos State Governor, BABABJIDE SANWO-OLU, unveiled the state Transport Policy for implementation of deliverable regulatory framework.

The state’s transport system has been divided into 14 elements in developing the policy.

The critical actions in each of the policy frameworks to include: Road infrastructure, rail transport, air transport, inland waterways transport, traffic management, public transport, urban road freight, non-motorised transport, rail transport, among others.

Speaking earlier, Commissioner for Transportation, OLUWASEUN OSIYEMI, described the unveiling as a significant milestone in the collective journey towards a more efficient, safe and sustainable transportation system for all residents.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, SOLA GIWA, in his address sought for the support and cooperation of the general public on the implementation of the policy.
