The Lagos State government has commenced the removal of shanties and illegal business structures under Ijora Bridge.

This came after the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps served a 24-hour notice to the illegal occupants and business operators squatting under the bridge.

The spokesperson of the Lagos Waste Management Authority, FOLASHADE KADIRI, said the demolition of the shanties was a decisive move to halt further environmental violations in the area.
