TCN blames demand-supply imbalances, vandalism for power disruption


The assistant managing director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), MUHAMMED TAHIR has blamed recent disruptions of electricity on demand-supply imbalances and vandalism.

 

TAHIR said during an interactive session with civil society organisations and stakeholders in Abuja.

 

He reassured stakeholders of TCN’s commitment to addressing challenges in the power sector and providing clarification where needed.

 

He reiterated TCN’s commitment to enhancing electricity supply across Nigeria while acknowledging the need for continuous collaboration and support from all stakeholders.

 

He also encouraged citizens to engage with TCN directly to gain insights into ongoing efforts and challenges faced by the organisation.

 

According to him, the safeguarding of critical infrastructure was a collective responsibility.
