The Association of the Bureau De Change (BDC) Operators of Nigeria says the Nigerian currency Naira has appreciated faster than expected against the United States’ Dollar.

The President of the Association, AMINU GWADABE said as of yesterday afternoon, the BDC operators buy the dollar at N980/$1 and sell at N1,020/$1, as against the official rate of N1161/$1 by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The BDC chief applauded the current administration for its efforts so far, saying it is the first time in the last 15 years that the dollar will exchange in the parallel market lesser than at the official rate.
