The Federal Government says it will charge 3,000 naira on average per toll gate when the Lagos-Calabar coastal road is completed.

Nigeria’s Minister of Works, DAVE UMAHI confirmed the figure when he was featured on a monitored television programme. 

According to UMAHI, an average of 50,000 vehicles will pass through these toll points per day.

He said the cars could pay 1,500 naira, while the big trucks could pay the sum of 5,000 naira.

The Minister assured that with the tolls the cost budgeted for the road would be recouped in 15 years.
