The Chairman Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Edo State Chapter, Dr. Samson Isibor, has condemned in strong terms the impeachment of Comrade Philip Shaibu as Deputy Governor.

Dr. Samson Isibor in a press statement made available to journalists, in Benin City, challenge the rationale behind the impeachment, adding that it was a predetermined game from Governor Godwin Obaseki, to see that Shaibu was removed by all means; even in an illegal way.

According to him, the former deputy governor committed no impeachable offence. 

He blamed the Chief Judge of Edo State for allegedly allowing himself to be used by Governor Obaseki to disobey a high court summon.

He however expressed joy that the Edo governorship election is around the corner and would afford the people to speak in loud voice of their assessment of the administration of Governor Obaseki.
