At least 87 people have been reportedly abducted by bandits who attacked the Kajuru station community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attack occurred last night, just a day after 14 people were kidnapped by bandits at Dogon Noma community also within Kajuru Local Government.

The Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area, IBRAHIM GAJERE told newsmen that the terrorists invaded the Kajuru station community and took away many residents.

He lamented that the constant attacks on Kajuru have left many residents in fear and panic.

The Kaduna State Police Command also confirmed the latest attack, saying it has deployed its men to the affected community.

The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, MANSIR HASSAN however said the police was yet to ascertain the number of persons kidnapped.

Also confirming the development, the member representing the Kajuru constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable USMAN DANLAMI STINGO said that 86 people were kidnapped on Sunday night by rampaging terrorists.

Speaking further on the attack, a member of the Kajuru-Station Youths, HARISU DARI, said the terrorists also broke into some shops and carted away food items and other valuables.
