The Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State has unveiled a task force squad as part of measures to control the menace of environmental nuisance and walkway trading within the community.
The chairman of the council, EMMANUEL BAMGBOYE, constituted a five-man environmental task force to complement the efforts of the environmental sanitation officers to sustain the cleanliness of the environment around the Mushin community.
According to him, the committee, which is saddled with the responsibility of clearing all environmental infractions on the walkways and drainages, is also empowered to paste removal notices on abandoned vehicles.
BAMGBOYE said traders who were in the habit of displaying goods on the walkways and drainage in Mushin, would henceforth face the full wrath of the law as the task force would commence operation any moment.
