The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has removed Governor HOPE UZODIMMA of Imo State as Chairman of the Governorship Primary Elections Committee in Edo State.
The change was made a few hours after four leading aspirants called for Governor UZODIMMA’s replacement.
The aspirants said they no longer trust his ability to conduct a free and fair election following the controversy that trailed Saturday’s poll.
The APC National Organising Secretary, SULAIMAN ARGUNGU, said the Cross River State Governor, BASSEY OTU has now been saddled with the responsibility of conducting the re-run poll today.
