The Federal Government has said it will work in close collaboration with State Governments and development partners to expand the Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs), from 8,300 to 17, 600 nationwide over the next four years.
This initiative will be complemented with the training of 120,000 Frontline Health Workers, expected to be flagged off soon.
Coordinating Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Professor ALI PATE disclosed this in his Keynote address at the Meeting of North East Forum of Commissioners of Health in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Prof. PATE emphasised the need for collective interventions of Federal, State and Development Partners to be more people-centred and well-coordinated to achieve overall sustainable goals.
