The Lagos State Government has created no fewer than 20 live Viewing Centres for residents to watch the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) in a statement said the initiative tagged #LagosIsAGoal was designed to provide a conducive platform for the residents to enjoy live matches of this year’s tournament in Côte d’Ivoire.
It stated that the state government erected gigantic TV-size screens at the 20 designated viewing centres located in Surulere, Lagos Island, Yaba, Epe, Oworonshoki, Badagry, Ketu, Ajegunle and Alimosho.
Others are Agbado-Oke Odo, Ojo, Festac, Ijegun, Agege, Mushin, Ikorodu, Ojokoro, Abesan, Igbobi-Sabe and Lekki.
The LSSC added that the aim is also to ensure that soccer-loving residents give their support to the Super Eagles who are eyeing a fourth AFCON title during their group matches.
