The Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, JAMIU ALLI-BALOGUN, has stated that the state government is committed to improving technical education among students in the state.
The commissioner stated this while addressing students of the Lagos State Technical College, Ado-Soba, along the Lagos Badagry Expressway, during one of his unscheduled visits to some schools in the state.
According to ALLI-BALOGUN, technical education will help to create more job opportunities and reduce youth employment within the state.
The commissioner also advised the students to steer clear of vices including bullying, drug abuse and cultism, adding that the students should always share their thoughts and experiences about the various state government interventions in the education sector with their parents.
Alli-Balogun further stressed that the present administration has provided the tools they need to succeed and will not relent in providing more if necessary.
