The Petroleum Tanker Drivers branch of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers has refuted claims that its members are planning a protest.
The Petroleum Tanker Drivers National Chairman, AUGUSTINE EGBON, said in a statement in Abuja that members of the union were not planning to embark on any kind of protest.
He said the rumour is to cause an unfounded and dangerous panic in the supply chain of petroleum products distribution in the country through the spreading of fake and false news items.
He also reaffirmed that there was unity among the union members and advised the public to shun the rumours.
