The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has warned residents against noise pollution, stressing its determination to enforce enabling laws.
The agency also said it has taken a step towards addressing the escalating concern of the menace, particularly during the festive period by convening a one-day ‘Stakeholders’ Parley’ for leaders of the entertainment industry statewide.
Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, TOKUNBO WAHAB, who spoke at the event, emphasised the imperative of law and order in the management of noise pollution, especially during the festive period.
He underscored the significance of industry players adhering to established rules and regulations governing nightlife in Lagos State.
Wahab highlighted that compliance with these guidelines is crucial for striking a balance between the vibrant entertainment scene and the well-being of the community.
