The Senate has sworn in the Senator-elect for Kogi Central Senatorial District, NATASHA AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN, as a member of the 10th Senate. 

The Clerk of the Senate, CHINEDU AKUBUEZE, administered the oath to her. 

This followed her presentation with a Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission as the duly elected Senator for Kogi Central.

AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN, who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, became the first female Senator from Kogi State.

In October, the Appeal Court nullified the victory of Abubakar OHERE of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial Election.
