The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the Supreme Court verdict affirming President BOLA TINUBU’s victory in the February 2023 poll is disappointing.

The PDP in a statement signed by its spokesman, DEBO OLOGUNAGBA, said the verdict “thrashed” the expectations of Nigerians who looked up to it as a Temple of Impartiality to deliver substantial justice.

The PDP accused the Supreme Court of condoning serious issues of forgery, falsehood, and perjury on the altar of technicalities.

According to the main opposition party, the judgment by the Supreme Court has evidently shaken the confidence of Nigerians in the judiciary, especially the Supreme Court as the last hope of the common man.

The PDP, however, urged Nigerians not to be discouraged or allow the judgment to weaken from their collective quest for the actualisation of a credible electoral system.
