The Senate has sworn in AMOS YOHANNA as the new Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District.

The Deputy President of the Senate, JIBRIN BARAU, who presided over the plenary, swore in YOHANNA a week after the Court of Appeal in Abuja sacked the former lawmaker representing the district, ELISHA ABBO.

While ABBO is of the ruling All Progressives Congress, YOHANNA is of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
