The Federal Government has announced that the Third Mainland Bridge will be closed to traffic from Saturday, October 21, 2023, to Sunday, October 22, 2023.
The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, OLUKOREDE KESHA, disclosed this in a statement.
KESHA said that the closure of the bridge which spans over 11.8 kilometres will start from midnight on Saturday, October 21, to midnight of Sunday, October 22 to carry out repairs.
She noted that the government was ready to begin comprehensive rehabilitation work on the bridge, starting with repairs of the critical portions.
She, however, urged motorists to cooperate with the traffic management officials by obeying and observing all diversions as directed for seamless movement.
She also encouraged motorists to use alternative routes where possible during the period of repair.
