The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, OLUWASEUN OSIYEMI, says a trailer accident and rainfall, among others, have been responsible for the traffic challenge faced by commuters on the Lekki-Epe Expressway which is under construction.
The commissioner, in a statement, said the government was aware of the hardship motorists were facing while travelling on the expressway.
He said that the concerns of the motorists are well noted, hence, the government is committed to improving this vital route and ensuring a smoother and safer journey for all.
The commissioner added that operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority would be stationed at the project site for effective traffic control.
