The Lagos State Government has said the demolition of illegal structures and shanties continues today in the Lekki Phase 2 axis of Lagos State. 

Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, TOKUNBO WAHAB disclosed this after an inspection tour of drainage channels at Dodan Barracks, Obalende, Victoria Island and Lekki Phase 2.

The commissioner noted that those committing environmental infractions at Obalende will be served notices so the place can be put in order. 

WAHAB criticized them for building on the canals and blocking the path flow of water.
