Lagos State Governor, BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU has approved the payment of 375.45 million naira as a bursary award to students of Lagos origin studying at universities across the country.

Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board, ABDUR-RAHMAN LEKKI, during a stakeholders’ meeting, assured beneficiaries awaiting disbursement that the release of funds will begin promptly as soon as the necessary administrative processes are concluded.

The Executive Secretary hinted that the applications for the 2022/2023 new scholarship and bursary award have been completed, with academic and indigenship verification processes set to begin. 

He added that the Board is set to introduce a special category of scholarship for the poor, vulnerable and persons living with disabilities.
