The State House of Assembly has confirmed 15 out of the second list of 18 nominees sent by Governor BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU for ratification and confirmation.

The confirmation happened after the Chairman of the screening committee, MOJEED FATAI laid a report of the exercise before the House during plenary.

Among those confirmed by the Assembly are the immediate-past Commissioner for Health, Professor AKIN ABAYOMI and Commissioner for Information and Strategy, GBENGA OMOTOSO, who were rejected by the Assembly during the first screening.

The former Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, SAM EGUBE, and former Commissioner for Energy, OLALERE ODUSOTE were rejected for the second time by the Assembly.

The House also resolved to step down the confirmation of a new nominee, TOLANI AKIBU for another day.
