Food Vendors Decry Low Patronage, Blames Harsh Government Policies

With the prices of food items across major markets in Benin City skyrocketing, some food vendors have voiced their protest against government's policies which they say have affected patronage from their customers

Randy Ogbobio visited popular Mama Puts in the Aduwawa axis of Ikpoba Hill and reported that many of them are devoid of the usual hustle and bustle with vendors sitting idly by, and wearing long faces.

They noted that the economy policies of the government have had ripple effects on their businesses as they now record low patronage and many disgruntled customers.

They urged the government to salvage the situation maintaining that improvement in transportation and construction of motorable roads will alleviate the situation.
